Well we close on the house in Mesquite on June 17 – just a little over 2 weeks to go. It has been a good thing that we took a trip down south to see family and Felt to go to a bi-annual high school reunion. It kept us from going back down to see the progress for ourselves. These pictures were taken by our neighbors and the developer.
And we do have progress! Since I posted last we have a nearly completed home. We are missing some things – faucets, toilets, shower door, interior doors, carpet, appliances and a few other things. But all those can easily be done in two weeks.
Our furniture will be delivered on June 20 and will look sparse at first. We want to take our time so bought the basics and will fill in and decorate as the year goes on. I will post pictures again after the furniture arrives.

We got our stucco coat
Then they painted the house. We chose this yellow - no others like this on our street.
They painted the interior. Chose this color from a swatch. It looks different in each picture - the light changes the color - I think we can live with this.
They put on the roof tiles - Love the tile look!
The cabinets were installed - Again we had no real idea how they would look. We didn't do badly.
They poured the driveway and walk ways
Garage door and looking more like a second home everyday!
